Vilnius on a plate
Last year, I was living in the mountains of France, dreaming of a project where art meets food. I decided to dedicate an entire year to Vilnius to explore its flavors, markets, and culinary traditions.
This journey is also a return to my roots. After 25 years away, I’m rediscovering the tastes and smells of my childhood. When I taste a piece of smoked lard from the market, paired with a crunchy pickle and a slice of black bread, it’s like stepping back in time to moments filled with simplicity and family warmth.
Through this project, I aim to create a connection between food, art, and the emotions they evoke, capturing the essence of Vilnius on a plate.
